The federal government and state government agencies often provide free online grant writing training courses for a specific funding opportunity. For example, the US Department of Agriculture recently provided an online grant writing course via webinar for a new grant program called the Regional Conservation Partnership Program. The Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) promotes coordination between NRCS and its partners to deliver conservation assistance to producers and landowners.
Most federal online grant writing training courses do not teach you how to write a federal proposal, but rather they explain the program and describe what type of projects they will fund. Some federal agencies such as www.hrsa.gov have pages on their websites that provide tips on how to develop a strong proposal.
USGG offers a variety of online grant writing courses to teach the basics of grant writing up to and including how to complete a complicated federal grant proposal. All USGG workshops, webinars and courses are published on the Event Page. To learn about upcoming USGG online grant writing courses such as Grant Writing as a Career Certificate Course or How to Set Up a Nonprofit Organization, check out our Workshop Schedule on a regular basis.
USGG online grant writing courses are provided in numerous formats to accommodate for different learning styles and different time zones. For example, the Grant Writing as a Career Certificate Course is delivered on set days and times though webinars, but other courses are offered though video tutorials and can be downloaded at any time.
New online grant writing courses will be made available on a periodic basis to include How to Find Grants, How to Write Grants, and How to Win Grants. In addition, other USGG online grant writing courses are offered on our Technology Grants Community where we have educational blogs, podcasts, webinars, and videos about technology grants and technology solutions.
